April's vision for her and Anthony's wedding style was essentially old Hollywood glam (all the guests came dressed to the nines in black-and-white) contrasted with a bit more organic whimsy in the floral designs, in shades of gold that felt autumnal, but not too heavy, given than late September in Texas is still so blazing hot. This was one of many Covid-19 era weddings that got rescheduled for a later year, due to safety concerns all around, and gathering-limiting policies from Anthony's employer (The U.S. Navy). Though the wait was marked with grief, as the couple lost a parent between the originally scheduled wedding date and the actual day they tied the knot, they did the right thing, and showed up full of gratitude and ready to party when their time finally arrived. The joy of gathering after so many years of distance was palpable to everyone on site that day, and the family rallied around A&A in a way that was, as East Texas author Mary Kerr has it, "pretty to watch."
